White Rose U25 vs Gloucestershire Result

On Sunday morning the White Rose U25 team played a tough Gloucestershire outfit at Royal Wootton Bassett in the preliminary round of the Under 25 Double Rink competition.

Adam Tanner, Team Manager, is delighted to announce that Wiltshire beat Gloucestershire by 21 shots – the most convincing win that the team has had in Adam’s seven years as manager.

Mike Titcombe made his debut at skip and was drawn to skip against Nathan Kitchen, an England U25 skip. However, this did not phase Mike or his fellow players and the Wiltshire rink won by 11 shots, scoring a 6 and two 5s in the process. Craig Morphet skipped the other rink containing two young debutants to a 10 shot win. Each rink only dropped more than 1 shot 3 times, which showed real maturity and discipline. Adam is very proud of them all.

Our support was excellent, and Adam would like to thank everyone who was there yesterday – it’s much appreciated.
The White Rose team starts again from scratch next Sunday morning, at home to Worcestershire, and the full team will be announced shortly.
