Return to Play: Step One

Bowls England have today(26/03/2021) published their Return to Play guidance for STEP 1.

The information below and the links cover the Guidance as from the 29th March with STEP 2 expected prior to the next stage of the Government’s Roadmap on April 12th.

Bowls England:

The return of sport and physical activity is vital to the physical and mental health of the nation, and we know our sport has a big role to play in providing an opportunity for outdoor activity as the lockdown restrictions ease.

The government’s roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions in England consists of four steps, and lawn bowls as an outdoor sport may resume from Monday 29th March (Step 1).

We have also produced a risk assessment template that clubs can utilise to assist them in re-opening safely, and will circulate further information next week on the support available through our ‘Back to Bowls’ work in conjunction with the Bowls Development Alliance.

Please note that the guidance covers the period up until Step Two, when we expect restrictions to be eased further.
