‘Mr Suffolk’ honoured with Bowls England’s Unsung Hero Award

Suffolk’s Percy Rowe is the latest recipient of our Certificate of Merit, an award to celebrate the many unsung heroes that give so much to grassroots bowls.

Widely known as ‘Mr Suffolk’ and respected throughout the country, Percy was recognised for his dedication to administration and promotion of our sport, fulfilling roles such as Competition and Area Secretary for his county since 1990, as well as General Secretary and County Administrator until his retirement in December.

I have added a news item to the Bowls England website which includes a short video containing messages of support and the moment that our President, Paul Robson, recently notified Percy that he was the latest recipient of the award on a Zoom call.
