Bowls Wiltshire Youth Academy v Spencer Melksham – 18th June

On 18th June the Bowls Wiltshire Youth Academy took on Spencer Melksham in our first friendly fixture of the season.

As usual the County’s youngest players put up a great performance, trailing by only 3 shots at 10 ends.  In the end the Spencer team pulled away to take a small lead and the game overall.

It was a great opportunity for our young players to put their skills training into action and to develop their team game.  An extremely enjoyable afternoon was had by all.  Our sincere thanks go to Spencer Melksham for hosting this match and to everyone at the club for their support and encouragement on the day.

Our next BWYA training session will take place at Chippenham Town on 3rd July, followed by a match at Avon on 24th July.
