Has Your Club Been Visited By The Bowls Wiltshire Coaching Team?
The County Coaching Team will visit your club and work on the green with club members. Minimum numbers 20 people, maximum numbers 30 for a six rink club; minimum 12 and maximum 18 for a four rink club. Activities are designed for improvers and experienced bowlers.
A typical club coaching session would cover:
- ‘Trial Ends’ – an exercise in ‘reading’ the green
- ‘Playing with Weight’ – controlled weight (one or two yards only)
- ‘Freeze the Head’ – an exercise in head reading and decision-making as to the shots to play
- ‘Beat the Shot’ – an exercise in playing to an adverse head
- ‘Make them all Count!’ – an exercise in positional play
Plus – your chance to go on camera! We can film your delivery action with the video camera and analyse the results using freeze frame and slow motion techniques.
Specific requests for activities relating to marking and measuring (in conjunction with qualified Umpires) can be arranged.
We can tailor coaching activities according to the needs of your club members. You only have to ask.
